Our Process

Yes. A CPP® or CSPM®-certified engineer evaluates your property first: your vulnerabilities, entry points, camera coverage gaps, access control needs, and threat profile. That's how we make sure you invest in the right solution, not just the most expensive one.

Four steps. You submit an inquiry → a certified engineer reviews it and follows up within one business day → we schedule a free on-site walkthrough → you receive a written proposal with vendor-agnostic recommendations. If you approve, we move into engineering, procurement, installation, and formal commissioning. Timeline depends on scope — typically two weeks for straightforward deployments, several months for large commercial properties.

Commissioning is the formal process of verifying a security system works exactly as designed — testing every camera angle, access point, sensor, and integration before handoff. Most installers skip this step. We document and verify performance against the agreed design spec. If something isn't right, we fix it before we sign off. You're not left discovering a blind spot six months later.

Yes. We can provide a complete system design — camera layout, access control architecture, equipment specifications, cable routing, and bid documents — that you take to any licensed installer. We can also review bids from other installers on your behalf and oversee third-party installation. This works well for clients who have an existing contractor relationship or want an independent engineer to verify a proposal they've already received.

We provide full system training at handoff and remain available for service, maintenance, and technical questions after installation. For mission-critical clients — including government and federal installations — we maintain teams nearby to meet strict response time requirements. If your previous provider left you with a system and a phone number that nobody answers, that's not how we operate.

We also offer independent security assessments for clients who want a second opinion on an existing system or a proposal they've already received from another provider.

Both. We work with commercial office buildings, multi-tenant residential properties, luxury residential, government installations, healthcare facilities, and industrial sites. Our minimum project scope is typically $10,000 — we specialize in properties that need genuine security engineering, not a commodity camera installation. If your project is smaller, we can point you toward the right type of provider.

Often yes. We assess what you have first and identify what can be retained, integrated, or upgraded versus what needs to be replaced. We don't recommend replacing equipment for the sake of selling new hardware. If your existing infrastructure can support a targeted upgrade — adding analytics to existing cameras, replacing an outdated access control panel, integrating disparate systems — we'll design around it.

Yes. We can integrate your system with professional monitoring services and remote video monitoring platforms as part of the overall system design. Options include 24/7 live operator monitoring, automated alerting, cloud-managed access control, and mobile management — configured to your operational requirements during the design phase, not bolted on after.

Yes. Modern security systems run on IP networks, and a poorly configured network undermines even the best cameras and access control. We design and implement the network infrastructure that security systems depend on — PoE switches, VLANs, firewalls, and cloud connectivity. Our team holds AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner credentials and designs hybrid on-prem/cloud architectures where relevant.

Our typical projects range from $10,000 to $250,000+. We specialize in commercial buildings, luxury residential properties, government facilities, and any environment requiring genuine security engineering rather than commodity installation. If your project is below that threshold, we're happy to point you toward providers who are a better fit.

We're security engineers, not commodity installers. Our CPP® and CSPM®-certified team conducts formal risk assessments, designs commercial-grade solutions, and installs enterprise equipment with proper cybersecurity protections. Cheaper installations often skip the assessment, use lower-grade equipment, and don't commission the system after installation — which means you find out it doesn't work when you actually need it.
If price is the only criteria, there are providers who can help. If you need a system that performs under real-world conditions and holds up over time, our engineering approach is the right investment.

We have a second office in St. Louis, Missouri and serve clients nationwide and internationally, including mission-critical government and federal installations where we maintain teams nearby to meet strict response time requirements. Our international client work has included overseas office security for government acquisition offices.
Credentials & Expertise

CPP® stands for Certified Protection Professional, issued by ASIS International — the gold standard credential in physical security management. ASIS describes CPP holders as "board certified in security management." Earning it requires at least five years of security management experience, three of which must be in responsible charge of a security function, plus passing a rigorous written exam. It is one of the most selective credentials in the industry.
When your system is designed by a CPP®-certified engineer, the recommendations are grounded in professional security science — not in what a vendor happens to stock or what's most profitable to install.

CSPM® stands for Certified Security Project Manager, issued by the Security Industry Association (SIA). It is the only project management credential specific to the security industry — requiring a minimum of 6,000 hours of hands-on project management experience, of which at least 3,000 hours must be direct security project management. It validates expertise across six security industry domains and means your project is managed with formal methodology — scope, budget, timeline, and commissioning — not improvised as the installation progresses.

It means we don't have financial incentives tied to recommending one brand over another. We work with 17 technology partners — Avigilon, Axis Communications, Milestone, Bosch, Kisi, 2N, and others — and recommend what's right for your environment and risk profile.
A vendor-aligned installer recommends what's in their supply chain or earns them the highest margin. We recommend what fits your property. If the best solution for your building earns us less, that's still what we recommend — and we'll tell you why.

Yes. We have secured installations for the U.S. Space Force, U.S. Air Force, and the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA), among other federal clients. Client identities are kept confidential per our engagement agreements, but agency affiliations are disclosed with permission.
The platform we deploy on federal sites — Avigilon Unity — is listed on the DoD Information Network Approved Products List (DoDIN APL), maintained by DISA, and is the only fixed video management system on that list. It was formally certified by the Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) in February 2024 before receiving APL listing in May 2024. The same engineering discipline we bring to military installations applies to every commercial project.

Yes. We design systems for integration with BMS, fire alarm, elevator control, and other building infrastructure. Integration capability is assessed during the initial site walkthrough — we'll tell you what's technically feasible with your existing infrastructure before you commit to anything. We don't promise integrations we haven't verified.

Yes. Cloud-managed security — remote access, off-site video storage, mobile management, and cloud-hosted VMS — is a core part of our portfolio. We design hybrid on-prem/cloud architectures and hold AWS Cloud Practitioner credentials to build and secure the cloud infrastructure correctly. For clients with DoD or federal compliance requirements, we deploy Avigilon Unity, which is DoDIN APL certified and FIPS 140-2 configurable.
