Project Overview
A 25-acre gated residential community in St. Louis required a complete modernization of its main entry security system after operating with only a basic push-button gate entry setup.
The existing environment provided no visitor verification, no resident notification workflow, and no access logging, leaving the property vulnerable to unauthorized entry. The project became even more complex due to the gate’s remote location, which lacked internet connectivity, traditional electrical infrastructure, and sufficient available wiring for standard installation methods.

The Challenge
The community’s existing gate entry system created a significant security gap.
Anyone could access the property without verification, creating zero accountability for visitors, contractors, deliveries, or vehicle traffic entering the site. Residents had no ability to visually verify visitors or manage access remotely.
The site itself also presented several infrastructure limitations that made traditional installation methods impractical, including:

Custom Cellular & Power Infrastructure designed specifically for the remote gate location where no traditional internet or electrical infrastructure existed
Integrated Access Control Environment combining 2N and Axis platforms with temporary PIN credentials and QR-code-based visitor access management
Knox Gate & Key Switch Integration ensuring fire department and emergency responder access compliance for life-safety requirements
Existing Gate Controller Integration completed despite limited available wiring infrastructure
Resident Training & System Onboarding providing hands-on instruction to ensure residents could confidently manage gate access through the mobile platform
The Results
The transformation was immediate and measurable.
